Get the eyebrows that you really want.

Microblading is a tattooing technique in which a small handheld tool made of several tiny fine-point needles (instead of a tattoo gun) is used to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin. Microblading differs from standard eyebrow tattooing because each hair stroke is created by hand using a blade which creates fine incisions in the skin where pigment is deposited. It deposits pigment into the upper region of the dermis, so it fades more rapidly than traditional tattooing techniques, which deposit pigment deeper. This semi-permanent makeup procedure can enhance, reshape, or create natural, fuller, thicker brows.

Frequently Asked Questions About Microblading

Is Microblading A Tattoo?

Yes, microblading is a form of manual tattooing (i.e. using a hand tool instead of a traditional machine). Just like traditional tattooing, microblading places pigment into the dermal layer of the skin, which holds the pigment there semi-permanently.

Is Microblading Permanent?

No, microblading is semi-permanent and usually lasts 1-3 years. Results depend on how well you take care of them along with other factors including skin pigment, texture, and oiliness (oilier skin types tend to fade the fastest). No guarantee can be made regarding how long a treatment will last. We do recommend a color boost at 6-8 months, or returning before 18 months to get them back to full color.

Does it hurt?

This really depends on the individual. Some describe the pain as merely annoying, or like intense tweezing, for others it’s more intense, and some just fall asleep through the whole thing! We will do everything we can to make you as comfortable as possible throughout your treatment.

Yes! Our artists are licensed, certified, and insured and are experts in their craft. With Hello Beautiful Lash Studio you are always in the hands of caring, experienced professionals!

What’s The Healing Process Like?

There is virtually no “downtime” with microblading but there can be some redness, slight swelling for a few days following the procedure. If you have more sensitive skin, you’ll probably see more redness right after, but they don’t usually form scabs. They will itch and look darker than desired for about 10-14 days. If they scab, the scabs will fall off and may look a bit awkward, or patchy and light.

How Do I Care For The Area Afterwards?

We recommend you use an antibacterial ointment on your brows for the first 24 hours, and then a Vaseline-like ointment for a week. Avoid picking any scabs that may form from the tiny cuts, and avoid using any acids or retinoids while they heal, since they could fade the pigments. Also, for a week after your appointment, do not get your brows wet or sweaty.
